Clone a template
Templates are proven, clonable maps in the gallery. Instead of starting from a blank canvas, pick a template and make it yours in minutes.

Cloning a free template
Open the templates gallery, find a free template, and click Clone to workspace. Canopy copies the map - nodes, edges, and default metadata - into your workspace as an editable map. No payment, no waiting.
Cloning a paid template
Paid templates show a Buy button with a one-time USD price. Clicking it opens a Stripe-hosted checkout. After payment clears:
- A live entitlement is added to your Maps → Purchased templates library.
- The entitlement reflects the seller's latest updates automatically.
- You clone it to edit - either the original snapshot from purchase or the latest version from the seller.
Purchase price ≠ infra spend
The one-time price is what you pay to buy the template. It is separate from the muted "~$x/mo" figure, which only estimates what running that architecture would cost on your cloud bill.
Paid template entitlements live in your Library and do not count toward the Free 2-map cap. Editable clones you make from them are normal maps and do count.
See Buying templates for the full license details, clone actions, refund policy, and what happens when a seller updates or deletes their template.
Publishing your own template Pro
Pro workspace owners can list any map as a free or paid template from the map editor - click Sell in the header. See the Marketplace docs for payout setup, fees, verification, and the full seller lifecycle.
