API Pro
Canopy's REST API lets you read and write your maps programmatically - a map is plain JSON you own. Prefer to let coding agents query your architecture instead? That's the MCP server, a sibling of this API that shares the same token and rate limit.
Paid workspace required
The REST API and MCP server require Pro - token creation is only available on paid workspaces. Building and exporting maps in the app stays free; only programmatic access needs a paid workspace. See plans.
https://canopy.8starlabs.com/api/v1What's here
- Authentication - create and use a workspace token.
- Maps API - list, get, create, update, delete, and export maps.
- Rate limits & errors - quotas, headers, and the error catalog.
The JSON you read and write follows the map syntax - that reference lists every node and edge field and its accepted values.
x402 & MPP Pro Coming soon
Agent-native payments. x402 and MPP (machine protocol payments) let an agent pay for a template or metered API access on its own, over the API, with no human in the loop.
Not live yet
This is a heads-up, not a shipped capability. x402 & MPP are on the roadmap as a Pro feature - the badges above mark it as coming soon.
