What can each workspace role do?
Account · Updated Jul 6, 2026
Owners manage billing, members, API tokens, payouts, listings, and verification. Admins edit maps and can invite Editors/Viewers into open seats. Editors edit maps. Viewers are read-only.
Roles are assigned per workspace. The same person can be an Owner in one workspace and a Viewer in another. See roles and permissions for the full matrix.
Owners manage members (invite any role, change roles, remove), the seat pool, billing, API tokens, Stripe Connect payouts, template listings, workspace verification, and ownership transfer. Admins can create, edit, and delete maps, and can invite Editors and Viewers into open (already-paid) seats; they cannot invite other Admins, change roles, remove members, grow the seat pool, or manage billing. Editors can create and edit maps. Viewers can inspect maps, spend, nodes, and exports, but cannot edit.
Every member is a paid seat on Pro, including Viewers. Invited existing accounts join only after they accept the workspace invite from their dashboard.
