How do I transfer workspace ownership?

The current Owner can transfer ownership to another workspace member from member settings. Works on Free or Pro.

Only the current Owner can transfer ownership, and only to someone who is already a member. It works whether the workspace is on Free or Pro, with no need to cancel first.

Steps:

  • Invite the person first if they are not already a member.
  • Go to Dashboard, Settings, Workspace, then Members.
  • Open the member's menu, select Transfer ownership, type the workspace name to confirm, and transfer.

Ownership moves immediately: they become Owner and you become an Admin (you keep edit access, but billing, members, and payouts now belong to them).

On Pro, the subscription stays active and your card stays on the account until the new owner adds their own from Plans and billing. Until they do, your card is charged at the next renewal, so ask them to update billing soon. On Free there is no subscription or card to move, and the new owner upgrades with their own card if they want paid features.

Stripe Connect (template-sale payouts) is per-person and KYC-verified, so it never transfers; a new owner who sells completes their own onboarding. Maps, data, and existing buyers are unaffected. If you are transferring a Free workspace, the recipient cannot already be at the free-workspace cap (two per person) - paid workspaces have no such limit.
