How do I remove my payment method?
Billing · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Use the Remove action next to your card on Plans and billing. It's available once there's no upcoming charge - so cancel first if the plan is still renewing.
Owners can remove the card on file from Dashboard, Settings, Workspace, then Plans and billing. Next to the card there is a Remove action.
A renewing plan always needs a card to charge, so Remove is only available when there is no upcoming charge. That means either the plan is set to cancel at the end of the period, or there is no active subscription. If the plan is still renewing, the Remove action is disabled.
To remove your card while on Pro, cancel first: choose Manage to open the Stripe portal, then Cancel. This keeps your Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for, and stops it from renewing. Back on Plans and billing, the Remove action is now available. Removing the card does not end your access early; you stay on Pro until the period ends, then drop to Free.
You can add a card again at any time to resume renewing. Billing is owner-only, so Admins, Editors, and Viewers do not see these controls.
