Why is the Remove card button disabled?

Because your plan is still renewing. A renewing subscription needs a card, so cancel at period end first - then the Remove action becomes available.

The Remove action next to your card is disabled while your plan is still renewing. Stripe requires a card on any subscription that is going to charge again, so we block removal until there is no upcoming charge.

To enable it, cancel at the end of the period first: choose Manage on Plans and billing to open the Stripe portal, then Cancel. You keep Pro until the period ends, but it stops renewing, so there is no longer an upcoming charge. Back on Plans and billing, the Remove action is now available.

The Remove action is also available when there is no active subscription at all (for example, you are already on Free). If you only want to change your card, not remove it, use Manage to update it in the portal instead.
