What is the dormant account lifecycle?
Account · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Inactive Free accounts get warned after about 3 months, then suspended, then permanently deleted 30 days later unless you return.
Dormancy applies to inactive Free accounts and runs in stages:
- Active: you have signed in (or had a paid plan) recently.
- Warned: after about 3 months of inactivity we email a warning.
- Suspended: if there is still no activity, access is suspended.
- Deleted: 30 days after suspension the account is permanently erased.
Signing in (or re-subscribing) at any point before deletion resets the clock and keeps the account alive. Paid accounts are never treated as dormant while they are paying.
See the Dormant Account Policy and the accounts lifecycle.
