What should I do if I hit an API or AI limit?
Automation · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Wait for the reset window, reduce repeated requests, or get support if your workspace needs a higher operational ceiling.
Rate limits protect workspaces and keep shared systems responsive. If you hit a limit, wait for the reset window and retry. For repeated workflows, reduce polling, cache map reads, or batch operations when possible. See rate limits and errors for response details.
Canopy AI limits are counted per workspace. API and MCP limits depend on the route and token path being used.
If the limit blocks a real production workflow, use Get support and include the workspace, endpoint or tool, approximate request volume, and any request ID you received.
